The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

A sad confession

Sadly I have a confession to make. I have not posted about my weight lose in quite a while, since I have not been stepping on the scale as I should have. nor have I been watching the eating like I should have as well. a consequence of that is that I have gained back 20lbs.

  1. Mike, I struggle with my weight and it's very hard to lose with health issues. With my COPD I can't really exercise at all, I am lucky to breathe. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I will try harder if you join me!

  6. You know I found out somewhere that one soda a day will add 10 lbs. over the space of a year's time.

I know it's hard to cut back and all of us puter freaks either blogging or playing games have a problem with exercise. That's 1 thing I love about my camera. It forces me to get outside and walk around a bit.

Don't beat yourself up. I can gain 2olbs. just by watching Walter eat!! Pick one thing that you've been indulging in and just don't buy it next time you go shopping.

You'll be cutting back and hopefully not missing it too much. I do understand the snack problem.

My downfall is chocolate and anything with carbs in it. I gained weight this past year too and it doesn't make one feel so good about themselves. So I do know!!

Oh yes, thanks again for such a wonderful welcome back. I took pictures this morning. I hope some of them turned out pretty good.

I would like to get a new post up for tomorrow and thank you for your kindness. You are such a sweetheart!!

Hugs and good luck on cutting back!!:-)

  7. Shinade,Celestine does all the shopping.she said that she needs to get a locker to keep the snacks and candy locked up and a limited amount to remain out for me.With the seizures going for walks are not an option.

  8. Mike--I think just getting back on track--eating right and drinking more water will help you get rid of the weight. 20 lbs for a guy to lose is nothing! You can do it!
