I've been in my own boat sitting out in this water looking at this view. Awesome!-Sandee. This is a Tip of The Hat to Sandee, my Co-Author and blog wizard.

The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

  1. While i'd never heard the Amboy Dukes, i remember the other three. It sounds like you graduated around the same time as my Sweetie, and ten years ahead of me.

  4. Mike,

I remember "One Toke Over the Line" and "Venus" many years after they released. The late 60s I was a bit too young to pay a lot attention to mewsic.I guess the reason I know these is because they climbed the top of the chart and remain favorable oldies. Thanks for sharing your high school year one-hit wonders! Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor.

  5. I was a year ahead of you in high school, and know all of these songs. WABC in New York City (where I grew up) did play the Amboy Dukes, and I LOVED that song. But I was able to get CKLW on certain nights, and I have such fond memories of that station, too. CKLW The Motor City! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
