The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

  6. Hi Mike,
Great classics. I hadn't heard Edison Lighthouse in ages!! They hadn't crossed my mind in a very long time. Almost forgot about them...
Love the name of the Tremeloes.
And that's quite a philosophy: Get an ugly girl to marry you...?? Very interesting take on long-term happiness. Ha!

  7. Interesting thing about "My Baby Loves Lovin'": It (which was credited to a band called White Plains), "United We Stand" by Brotherhood of Man, "Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" by Edison Lighthouse, and "Gimme Dat Ding" by The Pipkins were all done by the same guy, Tony Burrows, and a bunch of studio musicians. They were just issued under four different names. The things you learn in this job... Great set!
