The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

  3. Mike,

Great concept for your choice song picks week. Here are the ones I like the best UB40 "Red Red Wine", The Shirelles "Boys', and Herb Alpert "Taste of Honey". Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor today. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

  4. Good choices, Mike! When I first heard UB40's "Red Red Wine," I didn't know (or maybe I did and forgot) that Neil Diamond had written it. When you hear The Beatles' "Boys" next to The Shirelles, you can really hear how well they picked up the song before they made it their own. "A Taste Of Honey" has been around forever, and it's amazing how both The Beatles and Herb Alpert adapted it to their own style.

  5. Are you collectin' pics my friend? Cool collection, but I need to tell you please tell Neil Diamond to stop drinkin that red wine stuff and move on. He's much better at everything else! ~snicker~ Now Red Wine... nummy! The Shirelles were really good back in the day, but sure I like their version "Boys", but the Beatles did it really good! Rock & Roll to dance too for sure! Hmmm Taste of Honey by the Beatles... hmmmmm I'm not so sure, but Herb Albert... DEFINITELY! Have a great week my friend!
