FYI

Yep I had the computer lock up last night I could not open files up nor could I access the system restore. today I did a trick that I remember from when I had HP support. I used my system restore disks by putting disk one in than shutting down the computer,pulled the power cord from the back of the computer,than put the power cord back in  turned the power back on all the while hitting the F11 button until I got the system restore to start running. that took a total of 3 hours from the start of the discs until I could use the computer again. Now to go get the Updates needed.

A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.

My new year’s resolution is to be more optimistic by keeping my cup half-full with either rum, vodka, or whiskey.

Many things can be preserved in alcohol this New Years Eve. DIGNITY is not one of them.

Just heard that in 2014 there will be a new device that can turn thoughts into speech. I have had that for years, it’s called alcohol.

My New Years Resolution is to break my New Years Resolutions....That way I succeed at something!

Anyone who says that alcohol is a depressant isn’t drinking enough of it.

I'm actually feeling pretty okay about not accomplishing anything this year.

There have been many times in 2013, when I have annoyed you, disturbed you, irritated you, and bugged the hell out of you, today I just wanna tell you I plan to continue in 2014!

Just to let everyone know why

Just to let know everyone know why I have been M.I.A.I have been off line since Saturday the backup computer's hard drive bit the dust. I spent most of Sunday removing the working hard drive from the golch central computer and installing it into the back up. that I needed to use the restore disc to get the computer to accept the different hard drive. after it took  4 hours for the restore disc to work upon restarting the the computer that stunt did not work,so that computer is a dead issue. we spent the day looking at computers that were 1) out of out price range,or 2).I ended up buying a used computer for $161.61 with a 1 year guarantee.

as the title says. it has been a fun day here at Golch Central. The main computer acted up yet again. the restore discs were used to noavail some of the different features would not work. like the DVD drive and the Flash Drive reader. so I conceded defeat and disconnected it. brought down the back up computer from the upstairs bedroom. and hooked it up.The nice thing is I did not have to reistall too much because my ganes were already it the backup I did have to update the files.

Again!???

Yep it happened again. I turned on the computer ay 12:30 pm and it malfuntioned,AKA files disapeared. I used the restore discs and my computer is operational.the only stuff in it is the stuff that the computer came with,so I'm gonna be busy putting stuff back in.

I Was Wrong

On my last posting I bragged that I managed to fix the computer, I was wrong. It started acting up and I had to drag out the 6 restore discs and use them. I still have a ways to go and visiting is out for today, maybe tomorrow if I get everything back in. See ya when I see ya.

A fun day out!

I'm getting a late start today. We had a foot doctors appointment this morning and stayed out because it was a nice day. We have been home for a couple of hours but due to the seizures I had I took a nice nap, and now I'm off to do some Entrecard dropping.

 We had an outing today and I had a couple of seizures and when I got home I took a nap. I do not see doing my EC dropping today.I just don't have it in me. so computer game time here I come.

Just for Fun

In the 'just for fun' department, I signed up to take the Jeopardy Online Test. It will be run at 9:00Pm EDT (I put in the link)

I had a doctors appointment today and then we decided to go out for lunch. I had a few seizures and when we got home at about 2:00PM, I crashed for a while, then got up watched the shows I taped yesterday, including the jeopardy program. The reason I tape shows is this way I don't have to watch the stinking commercials, just fast forward through them.

Now off to do some Entrecard dropping. If I'm lucky I'll get at least 150 drop for each of the three blogs that I have as part of Entrecard.

I just downloaded and installed the FireFox Aurora and I am really impressed with the speed.

about making some changes.

if anyone has not noticed I made a change in my comment section. I found the directions to do so HERE. the directions were easy to follow at least for me. whhat I did was have my blog info open in a seperate window and did a split screen that way I was able to jump back and forth easily. see pic.

just to let everyone know I am still having pain in my lower spine ,I will be seeing my doctor tomorrow(Friday).At least I can manage to sit in my chair by the computer today.

I'm taking a break.

Since dropping on entrecard has become quite a chore I'm limiting the amout of cards I drop on. I don't think I will do all the drops I do as Golch Central,and Mike's Place and Loonytoon Central any more. there will be a core of people I drop on as all three blogs.
 Not to mention for some assine reason when I am doing my drops my computer keeps restarting.there is no one blog I can point a finger at because some times it(the restart)i just happens in the act of opening up one of the browsers that I have installed. I have a total of 3 Fire Fox 6.0.2 and Google chrome and internet explorer 8.

With the way today is going I'm not going to be doing much if any drops on my Entrecard friends, see ya tomorrow or later tonight. Maybe.

What Next

Today has not been fun. I'm still working on the computer. I cannot get the volume bar to work. I do have some stuff reinstalled. AVG is being a real pain in the ass and to really make things fun our sliding window in our bedroom came out of the track and I cannot get it back into it. Hopefully tomorrow we can get the company repairman out to fix it. I only hope that is does not cost us an arm and a leg. So how has your day been going?

I can't believet this,NOT AGAIN.

I got NAILED AGAIN. This time it was from  A MICROSOFT UPDATE. The updated downloaded and than i had to restart the computer it finish installing the update and that's when all hell broke loose.needless to say the computer was locked in a startup/restart cycle that would not completely start up.that was at 2:30Pm. I am still working on bringing my computer totally back on line.I will try to do some visiting and EC dropping but I don't think I'll get all my dropping done tonight that I normally do.
