The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

It's been a couple of days.

I know it has been a couple of days since my last post.I was under the weather. My asthma was acting up.and I was bringing up a bunch of thick stuff, and had to do extra breathing treatments.not to mention I was sleeping a lot.I do that when I'm not feeling well.so I just stayed in bead or was sleeping on the couch.Yesturday I was feeling better but still was not upto par.so I just rested.today I'm feeling much better, and back to eating what I normally eat.

  1. Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for your visit. No, I do not own that dulcimer--except as a piece of graphic art I created. I did make one many years ago when I still played stringed instruments, but guitar, mandolin and Appalachian style autoharp were my instruments of choice then.

But the dulcimer is a lovely instrument with a singular sound.

  2. Hey Mike. I am so sorry that you weren't feeling well. You've been adding things to your site haven't you? Is the rating new as well as the Serenity Prayer, or did I just not notice them before? My site stays very simple, 1. Because I like the way it looks, it's much neater than my cluttered home and 2. because I don't know how to do add anything!!! HAH!
And It's your blog, you can say what you want to. But I think it is very thoughtful of you to tell people up front. I am G rated to the extreme....that can be boring. But honest to goodness that is the way I am. A G rated person :^) I haven't ever been offended by your site, though. You always seem very honest to me. I hope you have a great evening and a much better week. Keep feeling better! Jen

Oh, and tell Mrs. G "Hello"

  3. Rosie, thanks for the visit.and telling about your self.I tried to learn guitar but my fingesr are too big to play it.But when I found the dHammered Dulicmer I was in music heaven, I did not know a thing about the instrument whe I was it in the Shop in Roscoe Villiage Costocton Ohio.I just picked up the hammers and started playing it.Than I just had to have one.

Jennifer,I have just recently added the Serienty prayer and the rateing.I say the prayers on a different site and It reminded me that that is how I start the day so I might as well have it as part of my site.Adding the stuff that I have added is easy I just went to layout and clicked add a new item and decided what I wanted to add and did so.

  5. Hello Mike. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment too. Your cat sounds like a lot of fun to me. I have two little Yorkies that keep my busy and they like fetching too.
You know, I have heard the music of a hammered dulcimer but I didn't know what it looked like until I visited the site you suggested. That lady plays very nice.
I am a Christian lady incase you couldn't tell from my blog, and will pray that the Lord will bring back your ability to play again. It seems that if you were to play worship music to Him that He would be glad to.
If you'd like to e-mail me, my e-mail addy is on my blog.
    Have a great weekend Mike,
