I just might have to eat my words about fireing gmail.It seems that maybe the proble I was haveing is in this computer.I was haveing a lot of trouble with internet explorer and all of my programs being slow to open and lock up and not responding when "told' to close.so I had a discussion with the computer support people and I had to rekill the computer and reinstall my programs starting with the security software that I use. now for some reason it is working so far.
I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it remains so.if not I'm back on the phone and I guess we will be trying something else.
I think that maybe just maybe the real culprit is internet explorer 7 I made the mistake of allowing it to reinstall it's self back into the computer.and you tube would not play gmail was slow to open.Dumped ie7 and low and behold you tube works,gmail opens up and when i click the X to close explorer it does! You Tube and Gmail I now humbly admidt that you were not the problem.that evil corporation is the real enemy of this computer.

Internet Explore easily could be the problem. Perhaps you could give Mozilla Firefox a try and seem if things improve?
ReplyDeleteI had huge problems with internet explorer, and had to switch to Mozilla Firefox. I am glad you got your problems fixed though. As Nick above says you might want to try mozilla if internet gives you problems again.

MNick I have give firefox a try I'm going to be useing both of them,now that the I.E. 6 is being used instead.

Mike, I learned long ago that Firefox works best with the Blogger dashboard.

I didn’t let IE 7 install because I had heard from many people that there were unresolved ‘issues’ and I don’t USE Internet Explorer anyway because I prefer Mozilla Firefox. Looks like you’ve been busy with 20 new posts in Google Reader, but (alas) I have no time to check them out at the moment. Just thought I’d say howdy!

I had a problem with a computer once and the tech people said to always avoid upgrading IE.
