The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

Just some babbling of my mind.(what I believe in)

as the title says,I'm just going to speak what is running around in my head.
I know that I do not talk a lot about my days as a drunk.those days were not pretty folks.and I do not care to do a drunkalog(those in A.A. know what I mean).I did that with my sponsor(s) a long time ago, actually as many times that I have been in and out of A.A.

I follow a group of bloggers.I do not discriminate on who I follow.I believe that we are ALL created by God. this being said he does not make mistakes. He has created us be be us.and He is the one to Judge us for the way we live.

I would like to think that everyone is accepting of each other.I believe that we should be.
This being said,I know that there is a great deal of prejudges in the world. The sad part is that it is not only based of skin color or religious preferences, but life style practices as well.

I believe that we do not have the right to say whom may live with whom, nor should we say who can marry and who cannot.
If you believe that we are all created by God and that he does not makes mistakes that everyone would be willing to accept each other as one.

  9. Mike, I think this is the best post you have written. God is about love not condemnation. It is a dreary rainy day here so I'm listing to my pastor on the internet (waio.org) this morning. Have a great Sunday, be blessed my friend. JC

  11. Hmmmm, depends what God has to say about it, He created us to have our own free will and that means we do make wrong choices. I try to follow what His word says. . .and not judge but I will help guide with love.
Good post, enjoy your thoughts on life:) Have a great weekend:)

  13. Deb,yes he did give us free will, and we should not comdem each other on how we follow that will nor should we say what can anc cannot be done that is not harmful to one another.

Dmarks,I'm glad that you enjoyed what I had to say.Peace be with you my brother.

  14. I was an alcoholic ... and have been sober for over six years now. I was really bad at the end, drinking almost every day.

I know that the good Lord helped me get to where I am today. As far as regrets?? Of course I have them, but I have forgiven myself just as God has. Everyone has this same opprotunity ... how great is that !!!!

To be forgiven, you must also learn to forgive others. We are ALL sinners, short of our creators glory. In that, indeed we are all the same.

    Great post Mike :-)

  21. I had to come back and read. When I left that comment I was trying to let folks know that I had not excluded them from reading my blog.

I like what you said in this post. It shows that you have a kind heart but I already knew that. I believe that we HAVE to respond lovingly to people. I don't struggle with homosexuality - I would never treat someone with hate because of that. How can anyone see Christ in me if I am behaving without love?

What I struggle with is people who would victimize children. It would be difficult for me to respond in love to someone who would hurt an innocent. There are no easy answers, we just have to trust God.
