The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

America::Passing The Blame

We yanks just love to pass the blame. What other country can boast of 3 lawyers for every citizen. We come up with the best reasons to blame others for our own problems. Here's a small list...

If a woman burns her thighs on the hot coffee she's holding in her lap while driving, she blames the restaurant.

If your teen-age son kills himself or then next door neighbors, you blame the rock 'n' roll music or musician he liked.

If you smoke three packs a day for 40 years and die of lung cancer, your family blames the tobacco company.

If your daughter gets pregnant by the football captain you blame the school for poor sex education.

If your neighbor crashes into a tree while driving home drunk, you blame the bartender.

If your cousin gets AIDS because the needle he used to shoot up with heroin was dirty, you blame the government for not providing clean ones.

If your grandchildren are brats without manners, you blame television.

If your friend is shot by a deranged madman, you blame the gun manufacturer.

And if a crazed person breaks into the cockpit and tries to kill the pilots at 35,000 feet, and the passengers kill him instead, the mother of the deceased blames the airline.

I guess I'll just never understand the world as it is anymore. So if I die while my old, wrinkled ass is parked in front of this computer while typing this joke - I want you to blame Bill Gates, OK?

  1. It think the blame game is really and money game which may be even worse. (Let me know if you get a huge settlement from Bill.)

  5. Amias,sad but true.

Nessa, the only ones to get rich would be the lawyers.

    Sandee,you have got that right.

    Mari,Yep.

Woody,I have a P.C.so it is a windows based system and rhe P.C. is made by Compaq, and besides the suit would be thrown out of court sdaying it was my fault.Just like the V.A. tells people that their problems were caused prior service, that way you cannot get anything from them.I know I have been fighting with them for a long time and you get tired of banging your head into that brick wall.I have.

  8. Sad but true. I honestly don't see much responsibility anymore for anything. How did that get unlearned?

  9. somewher along the way people forgot that every one is responceable for their own actions.case in point is the drunk driver.it's their fault that they got drunk than chose to drive.
