I pay 38 bucks a month for the lousy DSL service, so I was looking for an alternative if I wanted to switch to U-Verse it would cost me 200 bucks up front, so that's out. Time Warner cable was not that helpful either, so they are out too. I heard that there is a lifeline program coming for Internet service and since I have the lifeline service for the phone maybe I will qualify for the cost cutting measure.

Celestine and I are trying to get by on the disability retirement income that I get from being a corrections officer. It doesn't go far with the costs of seeing the doctors, and medicine and of course there's the monthly payment like the house-note, car-note and the condo maintenance fee, so money is always tight. I know there are a lot of other people in the same boat and or are worse off. I am grateful for what I do have, so don't get me wrong.
