My uncle was there. He was a gentle man who did not talk about what he saw. It must have been terrible.

ReplyDeleteSyd,Mt Late father in law saw action in Africa and at Anzio,he did not talk about his experiences as well.I do know that he went through hell,and suffered from that.
ReplyDeleteMy father wasn't there, but he was elsewhere that day. He came home and many didn't.

Sandee,I thank him for his service,my dad was not there as well. he did end up serving in Bombers in the Pacfic.
