San Francisco Skyline

San Francisco Skyline
I've been in my own boat sitting out in this water looking at this view. Awesome!-Sandee. This is a Tip of The Hat to Sandee, my Co-Author and blog wizard.

The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

Silly Sunday

Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

 Military Time

On some air bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle. One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, "What time is it?"

The tower responded, "Who is calling?”

The aircraft replied, ”What difference does it make?"

The tower replied,  "It makes a lot of difference.

If it is an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o’clock.
If it is an Air Force plane, it is 1500 hours.
If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells.
If it is an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3.
If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, it’s Thursday afternoon."

  3. Once upon a time I had a college instructor that insisted upon meeting with us. She wrote down military time. I thought I had the time right. I went to meet with her. She said, "Where were you? It's not like you to miss an appointment." My stubborn college self said, "Really I missed it? I thought this was the time. I don't know how to read military time. I'm not in the military. I have enough problems with time. Please tell me regular time." She could tell I was frustrated. After that I met with her on regular time. Ha

  4. Alissa Apel, for the longest time when I was a Corrections Officer we had to keep logs and I would write in Military and real time each time untill the shif Sgts ordered us all to stop writting military time period. :(
