The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.

  1. I had prewritten my post and posted it before I turned on the TV this morning and heard about Las Vegas (it happened about 1AM my time so I had no idea...) What a sad day. My heart goes out to everyone affected. What can be said? Also, as I post this comment, news media has retracted the "Tom Petty dead" but it doesn't sound good if he indeed, still is alive. If the worst is true, may he forever RIP and thank you for the quick tribute. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  2. It is so sad, my heart aches for all who were hurt, all who lost loved ones, and all of us that we have to live in fear now.

  3. Mike,

There's so much sadness in our world. I just learned this mews on Michele's blog (Angel's Bark) and asked Google to confirm which yielded a link of a family member confirming the singer's death. The man sure produced some great rock n' roll mewsic in his career which will forever be with us even though he's crossed to the other side. Saying prayers for the Petty family, as well as those affected by the Las Vegas shooting. Thanks for joining the 4M crew, my friend!

  4. Hey Mike,
I did a Tom Petty playlist too. What a huge loss. He was incredibly talented and has such a substantial body of work. I never heard his Runaway Train so thanks for including that one.

It's been a terribly sad time and I've been feeling low all week. I cancelled everything I had going this week. Just didn't feel like doing anything...

  7. It was a very sad day. I don't think that concerts and festivals will be the same after what happened in Vegas. It was sad that Tom Petty was said to be dead just before he really died.
