What a great bunch of happy songs! Love it my friend! Love that line, "My wife is ugleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, but she sure can COOK"! BWAHAHAHAHAHA Have a great week & thanks for putting a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteXmasdolly,I'm glad you enjoyed the tunes.
ReplyDeleteThose are three great songs. I'm going to have an Edison Lighthouse ear worm the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteHow i love the Get an Ugly Girl to Marry You song! It’s one of my favorites, the song for the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteMike,
ReplyDelete"My Baby Loves" is a fabulous oldie! It always makes me happy to hear that song and it puts me such a good mood. Thanks for filling my morning with sunshine and love! :)
It's fun to hear songs from days gone by. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike,
ReplyDeleteGreat classics. I hadn't heard Edison Lighthouse in ages!! They hadn't crossed my mind in a very long time. Almost forgot about them...
Love the name of the Tremeloes.
And that's quite a philosophy: Get an ugly girl to marry you...?? Very interesting take on long-term happiness. Ha!

Interesting thing about "My Baby Loves Lovin'": It (which was credited to a band called White Plains), "United We Stand" by Brotherhood of Man, "Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" by Edison Lighthouse, and "Gimme Dat Ding" by The Pipkins were all done by the same guy, Tony Burrows, and a bunch of studio musicians. They were just issued under four different names. The things you learn in this job... Great set!
ReplyDeleteWhat happy, upbeat songs to end this week for me, especially Here Comes My Baby, a song I haven't heard in years. Dancing in my chair! Hope you had a good week too. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
