Three good choices here! The Chad & Jeremy song is one of my favorites of all time.
ReplyDeleteJohn Holton,I'm glad you enjoyed the tunes I posted. :) d-) :-h
ReplyDeleteVery nice songs of the season!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so many years since I've heard that War song. I love Summer of 69, and A Summer Song is one of those songs of my growing up years that I can sing from heart - I could listen to that one over and over and over. Thank you for the summer memories! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Mike,
ReplyDeleteChad & Jeremy sunny singing style makes me feel so happy. We're now half-way through the summer season which is hard to believe but then again, I find it hard to believe how fast this whole year is passing me by. Thanks for sharing some classic oldies with us on the dance floor!
Hi Mike,
ReplyDeleteGreat time to feature a set of summer songs. All are fabulous songs for the season. I love War's song. When I read your third song "A Summer Song by Chad & Jeremy" I thought to myself, "Hmm, I don't think I know this one" but then as soon as it started I realized what song it was...and it was pure delight to hear that one again. It's very folksy. Reminds me of Peter, Paul & Mary a bit.
Hard to believe summer is half over already. I'm kinda torn on how I feel about that: Besides Thanksgiving and Christmas time, summer is my busiest time for the business so I like that to keep going...but this heat! Oh my God, this heat is horrible! It's been over 100 every day this week. It was 109 on Monday! And every single day I find myself saying "Why on earth did I ever move to Texas??" (I've been here since 1991). Coming from Niagara Falls (Buffalo area) and living there most of my life, I got spoiled by those summer days in the 70s and 80s and then those summer nights where we actually had to go in and grab a jacket or puts some sweats on if we wanted to continue hanging outside. Outside: now that's a concept I miss soooo much. I haven't "hung" outside during the summer months in YEARS! It's too stinkin' hot to be out there. I miss the days gone by when we LIVED outside during the summer months... Oh well, I'm here now and too rooted to leave so I guess I best just suck it up and deal with it and quit bitchin' about it already... haha
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Michele at Angels Bark
Great song choices, Mike! LOVE Bryan Adams! :)
