I was in 6th grade in 1958 so lets crank up the way back when machine!
Volare - Domenico Modugno - Nel blu dipinto di blu
"the kingston trio-tom dooley"
The Everly Brothers - Bird Dog
RONALD & RUBY Lollipop 78 1958

DeleteMike,
ReplyDeleteI remember Dino singing 'Valore'. I loved watch the Dean Martin variety show back in the 70s! You just don't see programs like that anymore. Although, I know the song title, 'Johnny B Goode' I think I grew up hearing a cover version. Now that my curiosity is peaked I have to find out who and as it turns out, I believe it's Jerry Lee Lewis that I'm thinking of. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M gang, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!
Cathy kennedy,I remember himd doing the song as well on his show, and sadly we will never see shows like them again.well I had to stick to my first grade year which was 1958.Thank so much for stopping by!:):D:X:-*:-f:-h d-)

DeleteI did 1958, also, and I have to say we didn't duplicate any song. Volare - of course! And should I date myself further to say that my Mom had a 78 of another Everly Brothers Song, Wake Up Little Susie. And just think we both remember 78s, don't we? Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
